I'm Yontalay, the person behind the lens
I'm based in Cat Island, the bahamas,

My photography journey began in 2001 when I joined Creative Photography in Nassau, where I spent over a decade honing my craft. Initially part of the marketing team, I gradually mastered the art of capturing life's most precious moments—from elegant weddings and milestone events to intimate portraits and cherished family gatherings.
In 2012, I embarked on a new chapter as a photographer for the Bahamas Government, where I had the privilege of documenting significant national events and photographing distinguished dignitaries, including Prime Ministers and other government officials.

The year 2022 marked the fulfillment of a lifelong dream when I returned to my family's ancestral home on Cat Island. Here, I built my house and embraced the island's tranquil way of life that nurtures both my spirit and creativity.
My nature photography is truly a labor of love—a heartfelt tribute to Cat Island's breathtaking beauty as seen through my lens. While continuing to capture weddings, portraits, and family moments, I've expanded my repertoire to include school functions and community celebrations, helping to preserve the rich tapestry of island life for generations to come.
